iPad – today with step by step tutorials

iPod, and iPhone, iPad becomes the latest portable consumer electronic gadget released by Apple, to take the world by storm - and give a whole new potential to tablet computing for the mainstream. Only a few months after its initial release in 2010, the iPad already represents a significant market share of mobile operating systems.

But like any tool, it’s useless if you don’t know how to operate it properly. In fact, if you don’t know what you’re doing, you can end up doing more harm than good.
No, learning to use an iPad isn’t rocket science, but it’s not always the easiest thing to grasp, either. It can even be a bit embarrassing. You see your friends and colleagues tapping away as if they’ve been iPad sleuth all their lives. Meanwhile, you find yourself taking two steps forward, then one step back – taking three times as long to do something you know should be simple.

Since the iPad is so intuitive, many tutorials will focus on intermediate to advanced topics like how to customize your iPad settings and options, including how to change the preferences of some applications (or "apps"), which is all handled from a central location.

iPad owner, are you ready to get the most out of your iPad ?

Don’t let another day go by without picking up your iPad and learning how to really, really use it to it’s maximum benefit.

Professional Project Management

What is Project Management?

Project management is the science (and art) of organizing the components of a project, whether the project is development of a new product, the launch of a new service, a marketing campaign, or a wedding. A project isn’t something that’s part of normal business operations. It’s typically created once, it’s temporary, and it’s specific. As one expert notes, “It has a beginning and an end.” A project consumes resources (whether people, cash, materials, or time), and it has funding limits.

Project Management Basics

No matter what the type of project, project management typically follows the same pattern:
Definition
Planning
Execution
Control
Closure

Defining the Project

In this stage the project manager defines what the project is and what the users hope to achieve by undertaking the project. This phase also includes a list of project deliverables, the outcome of a specific set of activities. The project manager works with the business sponsor or manager who wants to have the project implemented and other stakeholders — those who have a vested interest in the outcome of the project.

Planning the Project

Define all project activities. In this stage, the project manager lists all activities or tasks, how the tasks are related, how long each task will take, and how each tasks is tied to a specific deadline. This phase also allows the project manager to define relationships between tasks, so that, for example, if one task is x number of days late, the project tasks related to it will also reflect a comparable delay. Likewise, the project manager can set milestones, dates by which important aspects of the project need to be met.

Define requirements for completing the project. In this stage, the project manager identifies how many people (often referred to as “resources”) and how much expense (“cost”) is involved in the project, as well as any other requirements that are necessary for completing the project. The project manager will also need to manage assumptions and risks related to the project. The project manager will also want to identify project constraints. Constraints typically relate to schedule, resources, budget, and scope. A change in one constraint will typically affect the other constraints. For example, a budget constraint may affect the number of people who can work on the project, thereby imposing a resource constraint. Likewise, if additional features are added as part of project scope, that could affect scheduling, resources, and budget.

Executing the Project

Build the project team. In this phase, the project manager knows how many resources and how much budget, he or she has to work with for the project. The project manager then assigns those resources and allocates budget to various tasks in the project. Now the work of the project begins.

Controlling the Project

The project manager is in charge of updating the project plans to reflect actual time elapsed for each task. By keeping up with the details of progress, the project manager is able to understand how well the project is progressing overall. A product such as Microsoft Project facilitates the administrative aspects of project management.

Closure of the Project

In this stage, the project manager and business owner pull together the project team and those who have an interest in the outcome of the project (stakeholders) to analyze the final outcome of the project.

Time, Money, Scope

Frequently, people refer to project management as having three components: time, money, and scope. Reducing or increasing any one of the three will probably have an impact on the other two. If a company reduces the amount of time it can spend on a project, that will affect the scope (what can be included in the project) as well as the cost (since additional people or resources may be required to meet the abbreviated schedule).

Project Portfolio Management

Recent trends in project management include project portfolio management (PPM). PPM is a move by organizations to get control over numerous projects by evaluating how well each project aligns with strategic goals and quantifying its value. An organization will typically be working on multiple projects, each resulting in potentially differing amounts of return or value. The company or agency may decide to eliminate those projects with a lower return in order to dedicate greater resources to the remaining projects or in order to preserve the projects with the highest return or value.

New Management Job

What Are Management Jobs?

Simply, management jobs are those jobs where your role is to accomplish things through the work of others rather than by doing the work yourself. A Production Manager does not operate one of the machines even though he or she may be better at it than some of the machine operators. A Software Development Manager does not write lines of code even though they are capable of doing so. People in management jobs do one thing, they manage.

What Are Not Management Jobs?

If you are a team leader, or a lead welder, head cashier, or senior programmer, you are not in a management job. There may be times when you manage people, but yours is not a management job. When you do the same work as the others in your group, you are not in a management job.

What Kinds of Management Jobs Are There?

There are management jobs in every profession, every industry, and every location. There are management jobs in large and small companies and in both non-profit corporations and for-profit companies.

How Do I Qualify For Management Jobs?

To qualify for management jobs, you have to demonstrate two things. You must show that you have a mastery of the tasks that are done by the group you will manage and, more importantly, you must be able to show an ability to manage people.

How Do I Get A Fist Management Job?

Like most other jobs, though, no one wants to give you that first management job unless you have experience and you can't get experience if no one will give you a first job.

How Do I Get Higher Management Jobs?

Like a first management job, you qualify for higher management jobs by demonstrating your ability to handle the management job you have. You will never get promoted until you show you can easily handle the role you are in. Beyond that, you need to recognize that at each level you are competing with more and more candidates for fewer and fewer management jobs. In a large company, for example, there may be many first line managers, but there will only be one CEO.

Infant Stimulation of Multiple Intelligences

Multiple Intelligences are a different kind of intelligence that can be developed in children. Intelligence include verbal-linguistic (ability to decipher the mind in sentences, presentations, speeches, discussions, writing), logical-mathematical (logical-mathematical ability to use in solving various problems), visual spatial (three-dimensional thinking ability), bodily -kinaesthetic (movement skills, dance, sports), musical (sensitivity and ability of expression with sounds, tones, melodies, rhythms), intra personal (the ability to understand and control yourself), interpersonal (the ability to understand and adapt to the others), naturalist (the ability to understand and utilize the environment).

Multiple intelligences are influenced by heredity or congenital and genetic and environmental factors. A child can develop a variety of intelligence if you have hereditary factors and stimulated by the environment continuously. Fetal brain cells formed since 3-4 months in the mother's womb, and after birth until the age of 3-4 years the numbers grew rapidly, reaching billions of cells, but no relationship between these cells. Nerve cells of the brain in infants growing very rapidly.

It can be seen from the addition of brain weight or head circumference of infants. When a baby is born, it weighs about 25 percent of the adult brain. A year later at the age of severity has reached 70 percent of adults aged brain. The process of brain development takes place very rapidly until 3 years old toddler.

After this, the process will be slowed down, either during school age and adolescence. Began 6 months of pregnancy, established relationships between cells, thus forming a series of functions. Quality and complexity of the set of relationships between brain cells is determined by environmental stimulation performed by the toddler.

Given the very limited time, parents should use it well, namely by providing stimulation as much as possible early on. Stimulation provided at this time, is very effective to optimize the intelligence of a toddler. Conversely, the less stimulation will affect intelligence in toddlers.

However, the development of brain circuitry depends heavily on the quality of nutrition and stimulation obtained by toddlers, in the womb, until three years after he was born. The more varied stimulation received infant-toddler, the more complex the relationship between brain cells. The more frequent and regular stimulation received, the stronger the relationship between the brain cells. The more complex and powerful relationships between brain cells, the higher and varying intelligence of children in the future. When developed over time, the child will have a lot of variation in intelligence.

In general, stimulation of intelligence intervention in infants should be arranged so that the baby can experience a sense of comfort, safety and fun with hugging, holding, baby eyes, inviting smile, talk, sounding alternately various sounds or music. Bolsters the baby to the right-left, prone-supine, stimulated to grab and hold toys.

Stimulation should be done as often as possible for interacting with the baby. Should be done every day, continuous, varied, adjusted for age progression ability, performed by anyone who interacts well with the family, especially baby mother or caregiver. Stimulation should be done in an atmosphere of fun and excitement among caregivers.

Do not give stimulation to the rush-rush, overbearing mother or caregiver, do not pay attention to interest or desire a baby, or the baby is sleepy, bored or want to play something else. Mothers or caregivers, who are often angry, bored, annoyed, and then unwittingly give it negative emotional stimuli. Because in principle all the words, attitudes and actions of the mother or caregiver is a stimulation were recorded, remembered and will be imitated or just cause fear toddler.

Kegel exercises for men: Understand the benefits

Kegel exercises for men can help improve bladder control and possibly improve sexual performance. Here's a guide to doing Kegel exercises correctly.

Think Kegel exercises are just for women? Think again.

Kegel exercises for men can strengthen the pelvic floor muscles, which support the bladder and bowel and affect sexual function. With practice, Kegel exercises for men can be done discreetly just about anytime — whether you're relaxing on the couch or driving your car.

Before you start doing Kegel exercises, find out how to locate the correct muscles and understand the proper technique.

Benefits of Kegel exercises for men

Many factors can weaken your pelvic floor muscles, including the surgical removal of the prostate (radical prostatectomy) and conditions such as diabetes and overactive bladder.

You might benefit from doing Kegel exercises if you:

Have urinary or fecal incontinence
Dribble after urination — usually after you've left the bathroom
Some studies suggest that Kegel exercises for men might also benefit some men who have erectile dysfunction. However, further research is needed.

How to do Kegel exercises for men

It takes diligence to identify your pelvic floor muscles and understand how to contract and relax them. Here are some pointers:

Find the right muscles. To identify your pelvic floor muscles, stop urination in midstream or tighten the muscles that keep you from passing gas. These are your pelvic floor muscles. If you contract your pelvic floor muscles while looking in the mirror, the base of your penis will move closer to your abdomen and your testicles will rise.

Perfect your technique. Once you've identified your pelvic floor muscles, empty your bladder and lie on your back with your knees bent and apart. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles, hold the contraction for three seconds, and then relax for three seconds. Try it a few times in a row but don't overdo it. When your muscles get stronger, try doing Kegel exercises while sitting, standing or walking.

Maintain your focus. For best results, focus on tightening only your pelvic floor muscles. Be careful not to flex the muscles in your abdomen, thighs or buttocks. Avoid holding your breath. Instead, breathe freely during the exercises.
Repeat 3 times a day. Aim for at least three sets of 10 repetitions a day.

When to do your Kegels

Make Kegel exercises part of your daily routine. For example:

Fit in a set of Kegel exercises every time you do a routine task, such as brushing your teeth.

Do another set after you urinate or have a bowel movement, to get rid of the last few drops of urine or to return any feces that haven't been voided to the rectum.

Contract your pelvic floor muscles just before and during any activity that puts pressure on your abdomen, such as sneezing, coughing, laughing or heavy lifting.

Tighten your pelvic floor muscles rhythmically during sexual activity to maintain an erection or delay ejaculation.

When to expect results

If you do your Kegel exercises regularly, you can expect results — such as less frequent urine leakage — within three to six weeks. For continued benefits, make Kegel exercises a permanent part of your daily routine.
